Again, most of Taiwanese love saying “do yourself!” “be yourself” over and over again, why? I guess they just keep change themselves according to the idealized vision of others.
Therefore, whenever they see someone really “being themselves”, they will either envy or jealous because most of them can only pretending they are “doing themselves”.
But what’s funny about the society is, being yourself or do yourself are discouraged; be you or do you equal selfishness in Taiwanese social media society.
However, in my opinion, no matter what kind of you, the real you, the disguised you, that is still and always you, you can only be you! so there is no point to be you or do you, just don’t change yourself according to others opinion, stay you!
