CHARLIE PICK FOR YOU – NOODLES LEE

Since I was lived in states for over a decade and work at London for a year, I believe I had a sense of what kind Taiwanese food might suit for foreigners.

My first pick for you guys is NOODLES LEE

Why? Beef noodle soup and Wanton are both really common Taiwanese food, you can almost find everywhere in Taiwan.

What make noodles lee an option? The all you can eat side dishes and drinks.

First of all, lets talk about the beef noodle soup. I ordered the spicy one on my visit, and the noodle was not like those noodle we usually had, they hand made their own noodle which tasted really good and I think foreigners will like it.

For the soup, it was also different from the traditional soup we had, their soup is more clear and our traditional soup are usually darker; so you will taste less Chinese herbal flavor which I think most foreigners cannot accept at the first time.

Their Wanton are harder than the wanton we usually had, but I believe foreigner like the harder one because they can take time to feel how the wanton taste like. If you had the casual wanton we usually ate, it was softer and smaller, we usually just swallow it~ XD

Now comes to the most important part, the side dishes; the side dishes is the soul of Taiwanese food I believed, just like Kimchi to Korean food. Usually you have to order each side dish separately, but noodles lee serve many traditional Taiwanese side dishes for you to try.

They usually will have 7 to 8 kinds of side dishes, but they will switch to different side dish, so if you were lucky enough, you will have the chance to try more than 10 kinds of side dishes on your visit.

Last, the bonus part is the unlimited drinks. I am not sure to foreigners from other countries, but for American, soft drink is a big big plus.
