Same as bonds, can you earn money without putting your own money buying them?
Even you are the landlord, you still have to collect the rents in order to have income; if no one rent your house or place? where is your income?
What I want to tell you my friend is very simple, do not stock into the idea of living a life that money will come itself without putting effort.
